Wow time flies, huh?
I just (about a month ago…) came back from a one month backpacking trip through both islands of New Zealand. There may have been some laziness in sorting through photos…
Let’s take a look back at some highlights, shall we? (I also have very big news to share at the end of this!)
I’ve never seen so much breathtaking farmland and scenery in my life! Lush greens, open pastures, and sheep roaming around freely. I will not get started on how farm animals are raised here in the states….
Amazing waterfalls
Fun time with new friends sailing Lake Taupo
Playing in snow for the first time! Well, kind of… it was a little slushy since they were moving into spring. But it’s the closest I’ve ever gotten!
Hiking down to beaches with hidden waterfalls and rock formations
Glacier hiking! It was pretty epic. An ax and spiked shoes were involved. Best thing I’ve ever done!
Gorgeous mountain views
And a breathtaking gondola ride to the top of Queenstown. Postcard perfect.
Grade 5 white water rafting to top it all off!
Yes, that’s me in the front in the green hat… with no experience steering the entire raft.
For the record, we made it out of the that nose dive just fine.
I promise.
I can’t wait to visit again. It will only be about a 3 hour plane ride away… because I’m moving to Sydney, Australia in July! There will definitely be an explanation for this soon!
xoxo,
Tiffany
